The 20th of March is the spring equinox, or the first day of spring. Whilst the cold snap may not have you feeling like it, the warmer weather will be upon us before you know it! When summer finally gets here, what is better than enjoying some outdoor dining? An orangery can really elevate this experience and the sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can get to work on your new build.
Getting More Fresh Air – Fresh air helps your brain to function well and you will be able to think, focus and concentrate better. It’s good for your lungs as it helps them to expel more airborne toxins. Breathing fresh air can reduce airborne illness and infection because bacteria and viruses have a reduced chance of survival.
Soothing Effects Of Nature – Being close to nature reduces the level of stress hormones that the brain releases and can help to ease muscle tension.
Improved Body Function – The relaxing effect of outdoor dining allows your stomach to release HcI effectively, helping to break down food properly. Outside, you’re exposed to the sun, which increases your levels of Vitamin D. This has many benefits that you can read about in this previous blog.
Complement An Active Lifestyle – Eating outside lends itself to all kinds of garden games to get you moving and it also encourages kids to play outside.
Getting Social – Invite friends and family over to enjoy a meal with you. With more space, no worry about spillages and the aforementioned games!
Better Sleeping – Spending more time outside helps you to sleep better at night, the perfect end to a lovely day!
So, now we’ve looked at all these fantastic benefits, where does an orangery come into the equation?
An orangery makes outdoor dining all the more accessible as it gives you a kind of halfway point between indoors and outdoors. Firstly, the British weather can never be truly relied upon and so, in the case of wind or rain, your orangery gives you the perfect place to shelter whilst still enjoying all the positive aspects of eating outside.
Thirdly, whilst we are looking ahead to summer here, our orangeries can be used year-round. So if you want to enjoy the benefits described here but the weather is too chilly, you still can!
