Words from our valued clients

It is the best addition to our home that we could have made... a fabulous party space with easy access to the patio for a real indoor/outdoor experience. We can't praise Dave, Steve, and Mark more highly. It was a professional and smooth process that was planned and executed with almost military precision. Steve is a true craftsman with an eye for detail and incredible finishes. We would not hesitate for one second to recommend Farrow & Jones.

The conservatory has changed the way we live and entertain. Those who see it for the first time make lovely comments. My architect wanted to know who had built it so that he could recommend Farrow & Jones to his clients. The post-sale service has been superb. All in all, one very happy client.

We searched and pontificated a lot on our kitchen extension, met a number of people but were not really convinced... We called Dave and he got us straight away. The whole process was brilliant, done on time and aftercare has been fabulous. We spend all our time now in the orangery which has the kitchen, dining and seating area—the rest of the house is almost superfluous. Could not recommend them highly enough

We couldn't be happier with our new orangery. From start to finish, the communication was excellent. Dave always kept us informed, called in advance to arrange anything that needed discussing, and regularly visited the site to check on progress – something not all builders do. Everything ran smoothly, with no unexpected surprises, and I'm confident that if any issues had arisen, he would have been upfront and discussed them well in advance. All of the subcontractors were friendly, professional, and respectful. Steve and Mark worked incredibly hard, never cut corners, and always left the garden and work area clean and tidy at the end of the day. They were always friendly and had the time if I had any questions. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, the price was very reasonable, and the finished orangery has exceeded our expectations. We absolutely love it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Farrow and Jones to anyone looking for a reliable, honest builder who takes real pride in his work. One more thing to add. At the beginning Dave went out of his way to make sure that the entire project met my requirements. He always met me face to face and worked with me to find a solution. Thank you so much to the team. You have all been wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending you to friends and family.

As we move into winter and have further experience, we can give our thoughts on the new Orangery built by Farrow and Jones. It was built neatly, efficiently and with minimum upheaval. All precautions were taken to maintain the integrity of our home during construction. The builders were polite and hard - working. We had one minor leak that was fixed within days with no recurrence during heavy rain last week. The temperature inside is so much better than in our old conservatory - the argon double glazing works as we hoped it would and should save us heating bills and allow us to use the room for many more months of the year than previously and without extremes of temperature. We were happy to show potential customers around the house after completion and are proud of our new showpiece room.

It was a delight to find Dave of Farrow and Jones who immediately saw the project not as a problem, but as a challenge, and approached it with enthusiasm and positivity. We have a cottage that was originally built in around 1700 with later additions, but all in the local Hornton stone. It is on a hill with a steep and short driveway, and limited access to the area we wanted to build on which added to the difficulty. In addition to the design and build, we needed complete project management of the whole process. Dave presented us with a great design that interpreted our conversations and wishes well, with additional input that really added to the way the whole design worked, and the drawings went through planning with minimal changes. Work started in July and was completed in early October. There were multiple ground levels to work around, and the project included a patio, walling, and levelling parts of the garden as well as building the lantern-roofed orangery in hardwood and stone. We wanted to preserve the original walls inside, and the outer walls are in Hornton Stone to match. It’s on two levels, and the hard landscaping outside is on multiple levels. We couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. The finish is excellent and throughout there is great attention to detail – Dave, Steve and Mark did a fantastic job. There’s a lot of upheaval generated by a major job like this, but throughout, the guys were a pleasure to deal with and were tidy, courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

A friend of ours recommended Farrow & Jones and Dave and his team were fantastic from start to finish! We were guided through the options with stunning sketches of our home and invited to see some real projects to give us inspiration and ideas. When we made the decision to proceed and there were some inevitable delays with other trades, Dave was very accommodating and worked with us to find solutions. We are delighted with the end result, stunning design, great workmanship and a very personable team. We had a few snags several months after completion and the response was outstanding with a site visit next day to resolve. If only all companies were this easy to deal with...All in all 5 stars!

Dave and Team designed and built a hardwood orangery for us in Harrogate. I rarely recommend anyone but this is an exception as the quality of craftsmanship and efficiency in how they worked was exceptional. We are delighted with the finished result and wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend Farrow & Jones if your looking for high quality workmanship and a project to be completed swiftly.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Farrow & Jones for the orangery. The result has exceeded our expectations. Dave, Steve and Mark are a great team to work with. They were efficient, professional and experienced what they are doing. This extension to our house has received many compliments and praises from our family and friends.

Cannot recommend these guys enough , Dave , Steve, Shaun & Mark. From the design of our orangery to completion the quality and craftsmanship is extremely rare to find these days. This type of work isn’t something new to us , we have renovated several period homes. Giving a review or recommendation isn’t something I normally do, credit where it is due . Absolutely fantastic craftsmanship. Polite , respectful and extremely professional team . Many thanks Farrow & Jones
