A room for every occasion, whatever the season

The grandeur of the Victorian conservatory has been marvelled at in this country for centuries. With a distinctive faceted glass front, ornate cresting, and a charm for filling a living space with plenty of natural light, the Victorian style remains the nation’s favourite. However, there are other styles worth considering, including the expansive Edwardian, the compact Lean-to and the instantly striking Gable-End.

However you plan to use it, an extra dining room for entertaining, a home office away from the rest of the home, or simply somewhere to keep a few exotic plants and watch the seasons change, our timber frames keep the space comfortable for daily use, all year round.

Why homeowners trust Farrow & Jones for large-scale projects

We build in Sapele hardwood rather than softwood, uPVC or aluminium for a range of reasons. The first is simple, it’s incredibly luxurious. Your guests will no doubt be impressed by the characterful frames, attention to detail and interlocked grain patterns. Sapele hardwood is premium from a performance standpoint too. It lasts for up to half a century with minimal upkeep needed from yourself and truly is best in class when it comes to thermal performance, a vital consideration currently.

We like to communicate with our clientele throughout the build with a dedicated project manager on each project. We are a family business that has completed over 500 projects across Britain. It’s our choice of materials and hands-on approach that consistently delivers the best results, at a price that holds its own.

    Your questions, answered

Before committing to a conservatory extension, most homeowners have questions about planning, materials and practicalities. Here are the ones we're asked most often.

Most conservatories fall under permitted development rights, meaning planning permission is not required. Conservation areas, listed buildings and certain property types are the exception, so we check this for you at the outset, and can sort it for you if required.
